Attached please find:

  •  A general marketing flyer which you are free to distribute. The flyer has the main toll free number that we utilize:
    866-WAGE-PLUS

  •  A pdf with a list of last years sites, days of operations and hours. Aside from the Hunts Point site, which we have closed, all of the other sites will almost certainly be the same, with the same days of operation and hours. The sites are all walk-in, and aside from our Jackson Heights site, I believe all handicap accessible. Again, please feel free to distribute.

A few other notes:

As I mentioned yesterday, we currently have an all-year round location in Harlem where we assist clients get prior tax returns prepared and help them with tax controversies. For anyone that thinks they have clients that would need assistance on either prior year returns or tax controversies, please feel free to refer them to our Harlem site. The site is located at 284 St. Nicholas Ave. (bet. 124th and 125th) accessible by the A,B,C, or D to 125th or the 2,3 to 125th (two block walk west). The site is open Mon-Sat 9-5, and the phone # is 212-665-8747

As for the mobile tax preparers, we really do want to serve the population you represent with these services. Again, your organization/s will have to set up appointment (double and triple book) and provide space, tables, and chairs. We will do the rest. Please note that this will require some staff time calling clients up and setting up reservations, as well as potentially contacting again those that did not show up for appointments. So there is some work on your part. But if you are willing to participate, please contact my colleague, Yale Lipton, who is our Manager of Partnerships. She will be coordinating schedules for all our mobile partners.
She can be reached at 212-894-8094 (x-8335) or at ylipton@foodchange.org.

  • Disability Day – as I mentioned yesterday, we would also be more than happy to set up Disability Days at any of our tax sites to serve your population. In essence, if you want to bring a group of clients to any of our tax sites, we can set it up so that a handful of tax preparers will be dedicated only to those clients. All we ask is that you give us a heads-up on the number and that someone from your organization comes to the tax site along with the clients.

  •  Also, I was thinking that in addition to clients you serve, you may have some staff that fit within the income limits proscribed the program (40K w/ dependents; 20K w/o). By all means, they are welcome to utilize the service.

I think that covers the core basic issues. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
